Your diary stays with you
Ichigyo stores diary entries and settings locally and does not send diary contents to a developer-operated server. The app has no account registration or automatic diary cloud sync. No advertising or usage-analytics SDK is included.
Backups and exports
Encrypted backups use a password you choose. You choose where files are saved or shared; the app does not upload them to the developer. TXT, CSV, PDF, and image exports may contain readable diary text. The storage or sharing service you select handles those files under its own policies. Your iPhone’s system backups may also include app data, depending on your settings. This is separate from Ichigyo’s own export feature.
Notifications and widgets
Notifications are scheduled locally on your device. The app shares data with its widget through an on-device app group. You control whether diary text is shown in notifications or widgets; it is hidden by default. Content you choose to display may be visible to people who can see your screen.
Photos and device authentication
Saving a wallpaper to Photos requests permission to add images. Ichigyo does not need to read your photo library for this feature. App lock uses iOS authentication, such as Face ID or the device passcode. The app receives an authentication result, not your biometric data or passcode.
Purchases
Apple processes purchases of Unlock Journal Features and additional packs. Ichigyo uses StoreKit purchase information to check access to purchased content. Purchase and restore operations communicate with Apple. The developer does not receive your payment-card details through the app. Apple’s handling of its services is described in its privacy policy.
Location
Ichigyo does not request your location. Its scenery and sky use Tokyo/Japan time as their reference; they do not use your current location or actual local weather.
Support messages
If you email support, your email address and the information you include are received to handle your inquiry. Do not send diary entries or backup passwords. You can contact the same address about information you have sent. This voluntary correspondence is separate from data stored by the app.
This support website
This support website uses GitHub Pages. These pages include no advertising, analytics scripts, forms, or external font services. Hosting and email providers may process connection or message information under their own privacy policies.
